There's a certain kind of music that feels less like something someone made and more like something you stumbled across by accident. Some strange transmission from a place you didn't know existed. Jai Paul has always had a little of that quality for me, and Headache gives me a similar vibe.
I've been listening to them for a while now and I keep thinking someone will mention them to me or I’ll see someone talking about them on some forum I frequent but so far it’s just been me and my headphones. Musically, I hear bits of Massive Attack, DJ Shadow, and Daft Punk, but it's the strange spoken word monologues that get me. They drift between existential philosophy, complete absurdity, and moments of startling sincerity. Somehow it all works. Highly recommend.
